About Maricopa Energy Center
Maricopa Energy Center is a 550 MW hybrid solar photovoltaic and battery storage power plant located in Harquahala Valley in west Maricopa County. Clean, renewable electricity generated by the power plants will be transmitted via 500 kV transmission lines to the nearby Delaney substation, operated by Arizona Public Service (APS). The project will utilize over 500 construction workers and is anticipated to begin operation in 2026.
